Dr. Gary J. Dilley, DDS. MSD. MS, grew up in Indiana. He is a graduate of Michigan State University where he was a Big Ten and NCAA swimming champion. In the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, he was a silver medalist in backstroke. In 1965 Dr. Dilley won two gold medals in the World Student Games.
Dr. Dilley holds a Dental degree from Indiana University. He went on to earn a specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry. He and his wife, Diane, a Pediatric Dentist, moved to North Carolina in 1973, and he taught full time for eight years at UNC Dental School where he also received his degree in Orthodontics. Dr. Dilley opened his practice in Cary, NC in 1983. He continued to teach at UNC Dental School on a part time basis until the summer of 2005.
